Radomír Leszczynski (1945)

We are proud to collaborate on the preparation of a retrospective exhibition and the cataloging of the works of painter Radomír Leszczynski.

As Radomír Leszczynski approaches his 80th birthday in May 2025, this major retrospective exhibition will celebrate his lifelong achievements. It will showcase the evolution of his artistic career, spanning from his early creations to his most recent works.

Radomír Leszczynski (*May 5, 1945, Prague) is a Czech painter and graphic artist, recognized as a leading figure in the neo-constructivist movement. After graduating from the Secondary Industrial School of Graphic Arts in Prague, where he studied under Professor Václav Bubeníček, Leszczynski initially focused on applied art and architectural installations. Among his significant contributions is his co-authorship of the iconic original logo and visual identity of Czech Airlines (CSA), exemplifying his ability to create timeless and highly recognizable graphic designs.

Leszczynski’s artistic achievements include installations in prominent architectural spaces, such as the entrance hall of ČKD Elektrotechnika (monumental painting measuring 300 x 1100 cm), the meeting room of Metrostav (painting measuring 350 x 400 cm), the Residential House of the Czech National Bank (two paintings measuring 300 x 360 cm each), and the InterContinental Hotel in Prague. His work is defined by geometric morphology, where the interplay of color and form results in harmonious compositions. Since 1995, Leszczynski has merged traditional painting with computer art, integrating modern technology to further enrich his artistic expression.

Throughout his career, Leszczynski has held numerous solo exhibitions at venues such as the National Technical Museum in Prague, J&T Bank Gallery, Prager Gallery Nuremberg, and MIRO Gallery. He has also participated in group exhibitions with the Concretists Club in Prague, Bratislava, and Stockholm. He is a member of the Concretists Club Prague and the Association of Applied Graphic Art and Graphic Design, and his works can be found in private collections worldwide, including in the Czech Republic, USA, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France, the UAE, and Oman.

Leszczynski’s approach to art is rooted in a quest to uncover hidden order and principles through geometry. His works emphasize the intrinsic relationship between shape, color, and rhythm, offering a return to pure aesthetic qualities
